OK God, We Give Up!

See the amusing coda at the end from Executive Dean John Haigh of the Kennedy School.....

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students:

We have been closely monitoring the winter storm that is expected to bring an additional 18-24 inches of snow to the Cambridge/Boston area through Monday evening.  Driving is expected to be hazardous in many areas, and Governor Baker is urging all Massachusetts employers to suspend operations tomorrow and residents to stay off the roads.  Cambridge, Boston, Somerville and many other communities have instituted snow emergency parking bans and the MBTA will be running an abbreviated schedule.

For the safety of our community, HKS will be closed on Monday, and all events and Degree Programs classes will be cancelled.  We expect to resume normal operations as of Tuesday morning.

We will continue to closely monitor the storm.  If the situation worsens dramatically and further schedule changes are warranted, we will notify you via email and MessageMe.  Updates will also be posted on the HKS homepage and emergency info line (617-495-1033).

Please be safe during this storm, and if you have any special connections with mother nature please tell her we surrender.

Best,
John
